Whooping Cough Vaccine for Pregnant Women

The whooping cough vaccine will be offered to women between 28 and 38 weeks of pregnancy. Please telephone reception to book an appointment for this. 

Side-effects of the vaccine should be mild. Commonly soreness at the point of injection, slight fever feelings however these would be mild and transitory.

As the vaccine is after 28 weeks of pregnancy it could not be associated with foetal malformations. There are no known increased risks of vaccinating with REPEVAX™ in pregnancy.
