Repeat Prescriptions

greepillsYour Doctor may authorise regular medication to be repeated without the need to make an appointment each time you need more. When you need further supplies please return the order slip (the white slip which is usually attached to your previous prescription) clearly marked with the items you require to the dispensary. Alternatively, if you have lost the slip, please fill out a repeat medication order form available from the surgery. A box is provided at the dispensary for requests and we ask for two full working days (48 hours) notice before collection.

If you wish to fax your medication request to the dispensary the direct fax number is 0118 934 6693.

Please note that we cannot take prescription orders over the phone because our receptionists are not medically trained and there is less margin for error if the request is made in writing.

Practice Pharmacist

This is a new part-time role at the Surgery. The Practice Pharmacist will be dealing with medicine related issues and prescription requests to help free up GP time.

Our Pharmacist can respond to prescription requests for medicines that you’ve had before but are not on repeat issue.

Telephone appointments are available with the Pharmacist if you have any medicine related queries.

The surgery has a dispensary on the premises and can dispense medication to those patients living more than 1 mile from any of the local chemists. All prescriptions, private forms and letters can be collected from the dispensary. When the dispensary is closed these items will be available from the main reception*.

*Between 8 - 9am, 12:30 - 2pm and 5 - 6:30pm. Please note that prescriptions, private letters and forms cannot be picked up during our Saturday morning surgeries or late evening surgeries (alternate Tues and Thurs after 6:30pm). These surgeries are for pre-booked appointments ONLY and the reception desk is usually covered by a student.
