Prescriptions

Repeat Prescriptions

If you have access to your NHS records online, we encourage you to use the NHS app to directly order your medication. This streamlined process allows your prescription request to bypass the administrative queue and go straight to the electronic prescriptions inbox.

If you haven’t already, please sign up for online services.

Alternatively, please submit a Repeat Prescription Request to order online if you do not have the NHS App.

If you do not have online access please return the white slip, which is usually attached to your previous prescription, to the box situated in reception for prescription requests. If you have lost the slip, please fill out a repeat medication order form available from the surgery. Please note we ask for two full working days (72 hours) notice before collection.

We cannot take prescription orders over the phone because our support staff are not medically trained and there is less margin for error if the request is made in writing. Safe prescribing is imperative.

Practice Pharmacist

The Practice Pharmacist will be dealing with medicine related issues and prescription requests.

Our Pharmacist can respond to prescription requests for medicines that you’ve had before but are not on repeat issue.

Telephone and face to face appointments are available with the Pharmacist if you have any medicine related queries.

THIS DOES NOT AFFECT HOW YOU ORDER YOUR MEDICATION
PLEASE REQUEST YOUR MEDICINES IN THE USUAL WAY.

Dispensary

Open 09:00 – 17:00.

The surgery’s Dispensary can dispense medication to those patients living more than 1 mile from any of the local chemists. All prescriptions, private forms and letters can be collected and paid for from the Dispensary. When the Dispensary is closed these items will be available from the main reception.

Repeat Medication Requests

Please allow 72 hours, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays, for your request to be processed.
