Your Doctor may authorise regular medication to be repeated without the need to make an appointment each time you need more. When you need further supplies please return the white slip which is usually attached to your previous prescription to the Dispensary clearly marked with the items you require.
If you have lost the slip, please fill out a repeat medication order form available from the surgery. A box is situated in reception for prescription requests. Please note we ask for two full working days (72 hours) notice before collection.
If you wish to fax your medication request to the Dispensary the direct fax number is 0118 934 6693.
We cannot take prescription orders over the phone because our support staff are not medically trained and there is less margin for error if the request is made in writing. Safe prescribing is imperative.
This is a new part-time role at the Surgery. The Practice Pharmacist will be dealing with medicine related issues and prescription requests to help free up GP time.
Our Pharmacist can respond to prescription requests for medicines that you’ve had before but are not on repeat issue.
Telephone appointments are available with the Pharmacist if you have any medicine related queries.
THIS DOES NOT AFFECT HOW YOU ORDER YOUR MEDICATION
PLEASE REQUEST YOUR MEDICINES IN THE USUAL WAY.
The surgery’s Dispensary can dispense medication to those patients living more than 1 mile from any of the local chemists. All prescriptions, private forms and letters can be collected and paid for from the Dispensary. When the Dispensary is closed these items will be available from the main reception*.
*Between 8 – 9am, 12:30 – 2pm and 5 – 6:30pm.
